The case is a Trident off Amazon. It's an excellent case and durable, but the only con I have is the hard back will slide on a slick surface. The buttons and plugs work great. The holder is a RAM X mount with two long 6 inch arms.

those x mounts work great. i have one in my ride for my iPad mini as well. easy to mount/dismount the tablet and holds it securely

Do you have anything on the backside of the mount on the dash? I'm wondering how the torque of the ipad mounted twists the plastic.

I do not have anything behind the plastic. The arm is Reston on the front if the basket so it takes most of the weight. The screws do get a little loose, but not much. I tighten them every 3 months or so.
