InReach SE - Anyone got one yet?

Can this thing be used as a handheld GPS? If it can be a PLB with limited texting, handheld GPS, and I can connect it to my iPad/iphone via Bluetooth to use as a GPS reciever, this thing might be the one device to rule them all!

An SE has a screen and will show you your coordinates. I do not believe it has the capability to show a map on the device...you have to pair it with something to do that (or at least that was the way it was when I tested the first batch of SEs to come out, I doubt that changed).

Correct, paired to a device IOS or Android, using their free Earthmate software it does work like a GPS and you can see yourself on the downloadable maps. It does not do routing or marking of waypoints like a traditional GPS. Also, I believe it only pairs through the Earthmate software, I don't believe you could use it as a GPS for another software program. Maybe someone else has made an attempt, my android tablet has built in GPS so I haven't had the need.

Just to make you all aware, OCENS has been providing compressed weather forecast data through our WeatherNet service reliably for many years, and we have just released a recently developed service that delivers short-form 24, 48, and 72 hour weather reports directly to the DeLorme inReach SE.
