insulate and panel e150 cargo van

My 2000 E150 cargo van needs some protection from dents when the things inside hit the walls make dents from the inside out. I'm thinking 1/4" plywood, and some thin fiberglass type of filler under that might work. Suggestions on what type of insulation to use and then a "paneling" of some type is appreciated.

I'm also in this boat. I've read that some people thing the glass type batts could trap moisture and start rusting but in my understanding if you well insulate then the existence of moisture is lowered considerably. I'm leaning toward a spray foam but I'm weary that I'll regret it during future mods.

I have thought about using ridged foam insulation and cut to fit, but I wonder if it would start to rub and then squeak as I drive down the road.

I'm in the same boat. There's pro's and con's to every application from what I see. at the moment I'm considering just some dynamat or that bubble sticky insulation and put some plastic sheeting up as a vapor barrier between the insulation and the paneling. I'm gonna attach the paneling to the van with long strips of velco on the ribs. That way if I have to get behind it to all the wires I'm running, I can just pull it off easily. I can't work on it until August so I'm still researching and plans can change.
