I hear a lot of good things about this off road trailer but not much about it's off road capability.

It doesnt appear to have much wheel travel looking at the distance between the tires and fenders.

How well does it's dexter axles handle the trail? Any reports on long term use in rugged terrains?

I have the Pursue, but haven't taken it off road. The Explore is built in a similar fashion, but that's a big trailer to drag off road. There's a InTech RV Facebook group that has some people that have taken the Pursue and Chase off road. There's a lift kit for the Dexter axle that will give you more clearance.
