interesting fault (extended)

Yesterday I was sitting in a parking lot making a phone call, when my son climbed from the back seat to the front seat he bumped the suspension switch and switched from normal to offroad mode, he was super excited since he isnt allowed to flip the switches i pointed out what was happening by looking out the window you could see the vehicle raise... but then it did something that's never happened from just flipping the switch, it hit offroad height, and continued to raise until it faulted into extended and it sounded as though it was still trying to raise even after the fault was thrown. clearing the fault and dropping to normal height reset everything and no issues since, but back to the service bay she goes...

anyone else ever experienced this?

Could be a bad wheel height sensor. 4x4 info screen and see if there is anything odd on the display at failure time, or generally monitor it and see if some wheel is wobbly or wacky on the display.
