Interior Cargo D-shackles for FJC

Ok so I am getting prepped for the Expo Trophy.....
And I have way too much gear that must be stowed safety and securely like all good offroaders do...
So I am at Home Depot looking at a way to add more attachment points to my FJC when I see these cool little d-shackles...way neato they will match the ones I use for recovery on the outside.
So here are the steps and you can see pics at
http://blairsite.com/Gallery/Interior-Cargo-D-shackles

1) use 10mm short socket on extension to remove bag holders
2) drill hole in 1 side of narrower bottom section of bag holder
3) THIS IS IMPORTANT ...put the bag holder on before you attach the d-shackle or the bolt won't fit
4) attach d-shackle and the use however you please

I hope this helps someone...
remember the original part is still plastic and won't take a ton of force

What SPLENDID ExPo-class overkill! Very nice - stainless and >500 pound rated to boot. Gotta get me some of those.

The plastic is very much a weak link and I will more than likely replace these with some land rover style d-rings that lay flat but this was a quick fix that let me stow some cargo on each side that I was having trouble securing.
I went to Home Depot looking for eyebolts but could not find metric so found this idea instead.
Funny thing is the floor of the FJC has the perfect little fold flat d-rings but on the side the stylized the pc to almost uselessness.
