The plan is to swap the box in a week and a half, doing it the shade tree method in my buddies shop. I am tired of waiting on a shop with a lift. Bring on the cinder blocks and bottle jacks!
Looking good there man. So where did you get that tail light? Pretty sure that's exactly what I have in my bus, and need to replace one side on mine. Thanks!
New cutlass bearing, haul out, dry yard prep and bottom paint on our Ericson 28 runs about $2500 every 5yrs or so. Empty weight of that big fat short boat is 8000lbs guessing we have another 1000 lbs of cruise gear on board. No trailering that beast it stays in the water year around in CA. Next boat will be something like this http://www.swallowboats.com/our-boats/cabin-boats/baycruiser-23
Wife and I raced an Ultimate 20 for many years trailered it all over the West coast. Going small has advantages towed great easy to set up and handle. The Bay Cruiser 23 would be all that with Cruiser interior.
The rest of lights for the back came in. Two for the bumper, two for midway up the box. There should be no reason why people can't see me stopping or turning!
