Anyone here have enough money to get excited about this eBay auction?

No connection, yadda yadda,

But since I first saw it, I've thought the Unicat MXT was pretty much the bee's knees:

The MXT is a fine platform. International stopped selling them to
the public so they could use the assembly line to make more military
versions.

The big problem with the MXT is the single rear tires. The Pro Comp
tires are rated to carry about 4700 lbs each, so you've got a limit
on the rear axle of about 9000 lbs. In effect, you've got a big F450.

Somehow, Avi Meyers talked International into building an MXT with
the military axles, springs and Michelin XZL tires. If I remember correctly,
the Unicat MXT has a GVWR of 19,000 lbs, not 14,000 like the standard
MXT. Otherwise, the Unicat camper would overload the truck chassis.

It's interesting that you mention those tires Haven, I'm pretty sure Procomp stopped manufacturing them in this size with this load rating.

I remember taking a call from a customer (tire shop) a few months back, and we weren't able to source appropriate tires for his customer that owned one of these trucks.

Most other tires in the 40" tall size carry a load rating hovering around 3500 pounds or so.
