Hi All, New to the EXPO and thought I would introduce myself and my 'cruisers. I'm Martin and I live in Evergreen, Colorado. I've been into Land Cruisers for about 17 years. Had my first one when I was 18. It was a '78 FJ40. I currently have a '73 FJ40 and an '85 FJ60. They are my only vehicles and daily drivers as well as my "trail and expedition" rigs. I don't 4 wheel anything hardcore, as I prefer using my rigs to get me to great places for camping, hiking, biking, snowboarding, etc. I've taken my FJ60 and FJ40 on many long distance road trips and I'm always planning more. I've been slowly making modifications to make them more trip and trail friendly.
Here's my '73 FJ40. It has a '77 2F, with headers, electronic ignition, non-usa Toyota carb and distributor, locked in the rear, 4" lift, Pakistan replica soft top, and will soon be equipped with a factory PTO and '78 4 speed and transfer case.
My '85 FJ60 is bone stock but I have set it up with an ARB RTT and have plans to add an OME lift and freshen up the engine soon. Hopefully I can get another 200K miles out of it.
Thanks for reading. I hope I can contribute some Land Cruiser knowledge to the forum and I'll be posting up trip reports with my 'cruisers soon.
