I just added the trail dash 2 to the jeep. I set up the 87 octane tune. All I can say is WOW!! It made the pedals super responsive, all sluggishness from the 35's is gone! So much so that I had to relearn my muscle memory with the use of my feet on the pedals (manual). And best of all, the increased performance has also increased the fuel efficiency. I used to use 14L/100km now I'm down to 10.6L/100km, that's 4 cylinder sedan territory!! Couldn't believe it. I also recalibrated the speedometer and tachometer for the upsize tires and deactivated the TPMS sensor.
I like seeing the MAF volume, intake temp and coolant temp, to name but a few gauges it can display. Once I switch up to a Banks CAI I will actually have numbers to compare volume and temp, thus performance.
Had a chance to give the STT PROs another whirl in the mud today. Gotta say, I'm very impressed. The amount of mud I pushed through was impressive. It never once even hesitated or got close to lose traction. There was mud flinging everywhere and the tires were digging in alwys pulling forward.
New tats for the Jeep today. But I screwed up the Portal sticker. As I was lining it up it ended up touching the surface right when it was all crooked and of course the letters stuck. I was able to save the T and the O but not the little PORTAL letters. Now it just says EXPEDITION
Installed the Smittybilt overhead console. The supplies clamps for the sports bar are junk and cause this thing to squeak and rattle. So out came the drill and my rivet tool. I also made a drop bracket got the front footman loop as without the loop, the hardtop wouldn't be entirely secured the way if was supposed to be. This required quite some trimming of the plastic trim but in the end I'm very happy with it.
