I have a 13" MBP and wife has iPad. I just got a smart phone for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It costs an extra $30 a month to have the data plan on the smart phone.
I'm seriously thinking about bringing the smart phone back, just having a regular phone and getting a 3g iPad 2 for the things a smart phone would do and more, then keeping the MBP for heavier duty work. The data plan for the iPad is about $30 depending on who you use. Plus you can turn it off and on as needed if that is convenient.
Anyone else doing this?
