iPhone 6 "best smartphone for image quality"

uh...yeah... not real...

Geez, looks like ET could phone home with that rig.

And on the Lumia vs iPhone: http://blog.laptopmag.com/iphone-5s-vs-lumia-1020-camera

Note that they tested the iPhone 5s. I've seen some comparisons of that model with the new 6, and the reviewer complaining about contrast in the new phones, which certainly seemed apparent in his shots. But since everything's a compromise, it depends on your intended use.

What I wish is that one could get at the RAW. I would think, given the restrictions on the smartphone hardware, that the processing to a jpeg is a big deal in phones, even as compared to regular cameras. And that the companies optimize those jpegs in ways that people here might not like. And all the apps, at least on an iPhone, have to start from that jpeg. I haven't checked lately, but the only RAWs I've seen were from the OnePlus One, which has a great camera.

Well in a massively crappy piece of luck, 1020 bit it last night due to a fall from my pocket. Shattered my screen. A new one is ordered but I'm on my Android for the time being. I do get to try vsco however

Well after 3 weeks with the Samsung, that app that was mentioned is no different than anything else out there. Not a big deal for me. and just to give a side by side comparison of the ip6+ and 1020 in a photo comparison. here you go. Here is a real test, side by side, not take one, shoot scenes and return later with other said phone.

I'm curious on how it stacks to the lg g3. From that I heard its one of the best on the market for cameras

The 1020 followed by the rest of the nokia line have the best cameras. I am going to suggest the author make a similar comparison of the G3 and 1020. I have used a lot of cameras on phones and nothing is as good as the 1020 however. When you put the camera grip on phone, its better than most point and shoot cameras. That cannot be said for any other phone. Photos from other phones you can tell they are from phones. Photos from the 1020 are comparable with entry SLR with kit lens. The only advantage of the SLR would be zoom.

The iPhone6 is much much better than the iPhone5s.. The iPhone6 Plus is better again. Have some shots from the Maldives where it is hard to say, which pictures is done by dslr or not...

As I got the iPhone6plus new, I was at the German Oktoberfest, did some pictures:

If I have time, I will add here too some of the pictures of the maledives. To be honest - I don't have a Smartphonecam to compare against. But I cam provide pictures. The iPhone 6 plus do very good pictures....
