Sorry to bring this back from the dead but this thread came up in a google search I just did for "highest mileage Sequoia"
Last week I just bought sight unseen, an '05 Sequoia SR5 4x4 (of course) for $3750. I've seen some bought for less with lower miles, however this one has all the options I want (like a sunroof, just because I've never had one) and more importantly doesn't have any of the options I didn't want (like leather, DVD, rear air suspension etc.). One owner, always serviced at the dealer, Carfax was perfect, interior is mint, frame looks good, and the body looks better than my '00 247k mile Tundra (same drivetrain) and that is pretty clean.
It has 257k miles and you'd never know it... but I'll find out for sure in two weeks when I fly out to get it and drive 2,000 miles home through the northern U.S. in the dead of winter
Hopefully it will be a bonding experience and nothing else.
I'm pretty confident, I mean it's a Toyota after all. I just did a 3400 mile road trip in my truck last month and of course it was flawless, but I've owned that truck for nearly 14 years and 165k. I know it well. This Sequoia, even though it looks better cared for than my own truck, is a bit of an unknown entity to me. It could be a boring 3 day drive or an adventure. I really can't wait to get it home and start throwing parts at it!
