Shame that China does not produce one of their own that they can rip off.

It's like spot the company and country they stole from.

USA, Canada, Australia and South Africa at a quick glance.

Those pictures are property of Adventure Trailers. They were stolen from our website. ... A simple right mouse click by an unscrupulous company now puts us at risk. Emulation is one thing...this is theft.

Mario

I know how you feel. Did you see the Turkish guy who ripped off our ENTIRE WEBSITE - pictures, quotes, text and all? A__holes.

""a recognized Italian company simply copied the BIVOUAC model sold under the COLUMBUS name.""

I am familiar with Trekking and the Bivouac tent that they sold for a couple of years - but despite their claims, they did not originate the Columbus style design. Here are a couple of even earlier designs...

Hey

What do you expect, the more we trade with them the worse it will be. I remember when Yamaha outboards was sued by Mercury and Johnson/evinrude for copyright enfringements. Yahamha had orginal copied the upper half of a Johnson/Evinrude to the point some parts where interchangeable, and on mercury they copied the lower unit but had changed it just enough to get away from larger penalties. They paid a bunch of money for years to all 3. The whole SE Asia for years has done nothing but copied other peoples designs, sometimes improving them, sometimes not. I think it's safe to Mario could probably win in a lawsuit but thats lots of money to go up against a goverment subsidised operation in China and you would have to deal with the World Trade Organization....It's BS. It's a new world market which is a double edged sword and it's hurting America; the japaneese started it and the Chineese will finnish it. Kiss the good old United States goodbye...we are a has been..as much as I hate to say it.

I’ve had several products copied from me over the years. It’s kind of the same feeling as when you discover that your car had been stolen from you. The problem is that you take the time to develop the product. Then you spend the money to mfg. and advertise, you finally get everyone excited about the product, and just when it looks like it’s a good thing and you’re going to recoup some of your efforts---wham!!! The patent system used to work, but it’s only going to keep the honest people honest unfortunately. The patent is only as good as your ability to fund the law suits to keep it. Deep pockets win every time. I wish I could tell you how bad I feel for you guys. Let us know how we can help? Hang tuff!!!
