It happened !!!! My neighbor

Very interesting story.

I will not lie, when I say the title of the thread, I also thought it would be something funny.

Basically he gave these rigs away to you. And you will do him well never to part with them. And I think the most important thing is keeping the maintenance in the log book. Besides, how would you really modify such barn kept cruisers? Hopefully one of the cruisers talks to you not to strip her down. And just keep her the way she is: STOCK.

By the way, looking forward to pics. You can't just keep grown folks here on suspense for so long. Not allowed.

Well the truth is :).... I ended up giving Ted a decent amount for the pair . Not what there worth :).... But a decent amount! We talked for quite awhile about the money...kind of a reverse car deal if you will! Certainly will never happen to me again . Here let me give these cruisers to you ! No Ted I can't let you do that . Only it went on for a good 1/2 hour lol !! Total I was still under what one was worth !!! I guess that's why now I get the Tundra also :)!!!!!!!
As for the mods :). Ted knows and approves of my mod ideas !! He really wants them to be enjoyed !! He knows that's one of my favorite parts of these rigs !!! The build :). Order to much and change my mind about eight times on each rig !!! I'll still end up being in them to much !!! Just give me the chance !!!
Ted and his wife will get updates plus the guest house is there's whenever they need or should want it !! And I suppose if he wants to take them out when he visits he can. I will put a remote kill switch in and gps both rigs so if he tries to make a break for it I can stop him !!! ******** !!! I'm already enjoying these two gifts !!!

You are one lucky man. Enjoy your rigs. And when I come through Oregon this summer, if you are on my route, I will PM you and stop by to see these rigs.

So, when would we be honored to see these mysterious rigs you have been talking about who are elusive to photographs?

Lol yep it's not bad really , I live on the Mckenzie river on way from Eugene to bend .... Well Springfield is after Eugene then up river :) lol but if you know Oregon you know no one likes to talk about Springfield !!! But it is the birthplace officially as of 2012 of the Simpsons :)!! Again a dubious distinction! I'm just before Vida on the river side of the highway. Have a huge stretch of the river bordering my place! Some of the locals here came to me when we were putting fencing in when we first moved in. They were all fisherman type. Fly fishing! They told mee they used a path to the river on my property to get to there favorite fishing hole, also on my property. They wanted to fence in the road and put a Gate by the road so they could keep fishing there ! I made a deal with them for it. In return for the gate and a proper road to the river they taught me how to fly fish. It's been great fun, and they keep it clean and the road clear.
Oregon is full of great folks !!!!

Yup, I know that area fairly well. We spend more time in the Willamette, but it gets busy at times.

The willamette is great !! The willamette valley and there wines are also great !! I don't much care for " busy " or crowded lol. That's why we got the place up river !! Seems for a lot of folks in Oregon driving an hour or so to find whatever your looking for is just ( crazy talk) ..... I like El gauchos in Portland . The wife and me love to drive there for dinner then home . People get all kinds of weird when you tell them about that ! Jakes is good to both of them as is Ringside plural . But Gauchos has a great steak and great service !!! Plus the cigar lounge in the back is always a favorite of mine. Hope everyone is having a great Easter !! Hug your family and count all your blessings and thank Jesus !
