I have an Itronix laptop permanently mounted to the dash of my D-90. It's an older model than the eBay link, but I can definitely vouch for the ruggedness of the Itronix product. I use it mostly to run moving-map software for GPS navigation, and for OBD2 diagnostics. $661 looks like a pretty reasonable price too.
