Tight radius here with 2.5” piecut lobster tail v-bands, to original downpipe.

Removed lower half of the intake manifold to block the EGR and got a good view of the Injection Pump. Next task is to find the full load screw and bump up the fuel a bit.

It's on the end of the housing from where it bolts up. Remove the anti-tamper cap, then the outer cap. Inside is a little screw that has a allen key slot in the end and a lock nut to stop it from turning. Loosen lock nut and screw in too increase fuel. I went in 1 3/4 turns on mine. It is a 4D33 engine (4.2 litre).

Hope this helps,
Dan.

Tin anti tamper cap removed. Thanks for the tip on the adjustment screw being inside.

Progress made… ending up ditching the Kinugawa td05. Wasnt making boost on the low end. Worked a Holset hx30 instead. Boosts hard from first throttle. 12psi wastegate actuator, egt maxes out at 1250 with the full load screw turned in two revolutions.

Other notes, drilled and tapped boss on engine block for oil return, at the stock turbo drain location. Picked up oil feed from an unused port behind alternator. Next steps
Build small heat shield, find a solution to route stock air snorkel to turbo intake. Not a whole lot of room for piping after fitting the snail.04022254-A8FF-42DB-9E19-BE00E65C9250.jpeg

I’m thinking of doing something similar. Did you use the stock manifold or the one from the Kinegawa kit with the HX30? Can you elaborate on the power difference? For instance, do you get a speed improvement up a familiar grade etc. Thanks.

The manifold i used was the kinugawa kit cast iron TD05 flange. Ive since found and ordered just the turbo manifold from amayama (tdo5 im assuming) and also in process of fabbing a custom stainless steel t-3 header for hx30 6cm or he200 7cm w/7cm.

Boost comes on early with the hx30 and ive tuned the fuel so it hits 1250 and ill need to watch it and not be charging hard. Intercooler is in the list because i still dont have the power im looking for up grade. BUt for now im going to run it and focus on the cabin build. If you need a stainless header we can tig one up for your canter with appropriate flange.
