Depends on what your expectation levels are.

I can't believe anyone recommends running poly on an engine as vibration prone as an 4.0.

I'd rather have to swap out the stock mounts every how ever many miles than put up with the vibration.

It's the world of compromise. I suppose if you get a mount that lasts 160k there's going to be a trade-off on purchase price and probably vibration. Rubber, no matter the design, doesn't last forever.

I have run the poly motor mounts from MORE for about 9 years now. They are so old that they aren't zinc coated like the new ones are but powered coated grey. The poly bushings are in great shape. I can't say I noticed any difference in noise but I wasn't looking for it to sounds like a BMW. I also run a poly transmission mount which really keeps the vibes down from the engine I'm sure.

I ran poly in my XJ back in the day. All i can say is if you go ploy go ploy. Dont just do one or the outher thay are made to work as a system.

both Brown Dog and MORE offer rubber ones. I dont have any of these "poly motor mount vibes" everyone cries about. the 4.0 isnt some super crazy vibe prone engine- yes it will idle rough when cold, but its fairly smooth for what it is IMHO.

We're not driving Cadillacs..

i agree compleetly its a jeep probably a lifted jeep. Its going to drive as so my persnoal felling is that my XJ fel stiffer and more like a truck and less like a car with all the mods i had done. Now if it had just had a frame it may still be with us today.

I just put M.O.R.E. torsion rubber mount on my 98 XJ and they are awesome!!! The drivers side stock mount on mine was toast so I replaced both.
