Jeep JK Antenna mount

I went and purchased a new antenna mount today
Comet Antenna RS-720 NMO-Type Hatch-trunk-Lip mount
I mounted it on the front of the hood passenger side. You could just as easy mount it on the side of the hood.

That's a nice mount. How well does it work in that location?

So far, I like it. It doesn't really get in your way while drive. I have not gone off-roading yet. But from the looks of it it should hold up fine. Today I got on a repeater about 20 miles away (best guess).

Any ignition noise in that location?

Looks good, lip mounts have to be the most flexible set up out there.

I don't hear any different between engine being on or off.

I'm very happy with it so far, And yes many miles off roads.

Thank you for posting the photos 1Leg, I have been searching near and far for an acceptable location to mount my 2m Larson antenna. When I finish my install, I will be sure and post it here.
