jeep radiator question

Current radiator in my YJ is plastic and cracked. I am thinking that replacing it with an aluminum one instead of another plastic one would be better all around.

Am I missing something or am I on the right track?

Thanks

Update question. Is there any modification needed to use a three core or does it bolt right in?

Aluminum is a good choice for heat dissipation, the down side is they can cost twice as much as oem.
if you have the cash go aluminum.

The 3 core standard radiators form radiator barn are hard to beat for price and performance

Im running a csf 3 core all metal radiator from radiator barn. Works as it should and build quality is okay nothing great. Customer service is good and shipping is fast. if you can afford aluminum I would personally go that way. But I did the 3 core, full flush and back flush, new hoses, waterpump, rad cap, thermostat, new clutch fan. Replaced everything and even added a b&m transcooler Jeep doesn't seem to run hot now :)
