JK outfitters in North America?

Purchasing a JKUR 5 door through Chrysler's employee/supplier program and am looking for reputable JK outfitters (pref East Coast but not a deal breaker). Anyone have experience with an outfitter of JK 5 doors they'd care to share? I'm focusing on a light weight build due to the GVWR 5700 lb limit on the platform.

Pick up a copy of JP magazine or browse the numerous forums dedicated to Jeeps for ideas on who does what.

The Jeep Wrangler is arguably the single vehicle most heavily supported by the aftermarket. And the JK and JK Unlimited are the best selling Wranglers of all time. From mild street machines, to hard core rock crawlers, to pop top camper conversions. If you can afford it, somebody will help you do it.

Not sure where OP is from, but those terms are quite normal internationally. "Outfitter" is usually an aftermarket supplier/vendor specific to the application; the JK. "5-door" is all passenger doors plus the rear 'door,' thus 5 doors.

sorry, I assumed folks understood what I was asking for. I am not interested in a lift kit and wheels to go muddin or rock crawling. I'm trying to determine what overlanding shops have a solid understanding of the platform for building out a light weight JK for 1-2 week off highway excursions. Storage, fridge, RTT, awnings, kitchen setup, water system, etc. Building suspension around these types of needs while keeping weight to a minimum is my aim.

I'd have a talk to Adventure Trailers - http://www.adventuretrailers.com/

and AEV - http://www.aev-conversions.com/

They both fit your requirements exactly, and they often work together on projects - i.e. AEV does the suspension, drive line, etc and AT do the interior, RTT and awning.

Pretty much anything you can think of related to outfitting your JK has been asked and discussed at length on this forum, hence the forum name. Spend a little time searching and reading and you will find a lot of your answers.
