Howdy! Where are y'all finding these M41 trailers? The only place I've found them are in Texas and the folks down there won't return my phone calls. I'm looking for one (or similar) so I can build my rig. Any input is appreciated.

How's it going, I found mine on craigslist and from time to time a found a bunch at once. Most are priced pretty high so i would just keep checking periodically. Also i would just put ( Military Trailer ) when i searched because not every one has them listed properly.

Getting there J. Looking like your progress will have it ready by the spring season. Still planning for a Dexter axle?

My trailer just went into the media blast booth for some fresh paint and a few upgrades.

Thanks Bud it's a work in progress. I wish i had more than just the weekends to tackle it but yeah it should be mostly done and ready for camping at FJNE. The more i do the more i change and it keeps growing. At this point by the time i'm finished i'll have replaced or re built everything except the tub. But i'm having fun with it! I'm not sure if thats the exact brand axle or not but i'm going to go thru Redneck trailer supply since there's one close to me upstate. I got a quote for around $300 and change for a 3500lb axle with 6 lug hubs, electric brakes and new leafs and U bolt kit to go spring over axle. Also how does that electric set up work with the electric brakes? Do they need to be wired or have some kind of a special hook up or do the work thru the regular 7 pin hook up?

Sweet, I assume your going with white again to match the FJ? Man that trailer is awesome! I am going to incorporate some kind of shelf over one of the fenders on mine to use for a cooking/kitchen station. I have you to thank for that... How come you are re painting, the paint job looked pretty good last i saw it.. By the way are you going to bring the trailer to MOTL? I don't know if Rich wants to do trailers or not but i think it could be fun and from what i've heard it's not super technical wheeling like NHOC or it's more 'optional' so it could be a great event for me to feel out pulling the trailer with lighter wheeling and dirt roads..

Finished skinning the tailgate tonight. And got a fresh coat of paint on it. It came out pretty good.

Also scored these tires off Craigslist for the trailer for $50! Throwing them on a pair of steelies that I have sitting in the garage.

Framed the top of the tub today. Now the lid will have a nice flat even surface to sit on. I like the square look of it better too. Next on to the lid!

Got the lid started this weekend, I went the same route as many others have done on here. It's all framed up Now I just have to skin it and wait for the hinges to show up in the mail. I also order my new axle from redneck trailer supply. I went with 3500 lb with electric brakes and 6x5.5 hubs to match the Toyota wheels.

More progress on lid, It's all skinned up. I just have to finish a little bit of welding on it and then on to the grinding.

I mounted the new axle, wheels and tires up today. I ran into a issue with the leaf springs I ordered from rockauto, they ended up being 5" to long. I ordered the old CJ5 leaf springs from them because I've read they were a direct swap for these trailers but I'll have to return these now and order some from somewhere else. I just ended up using the old springs to put everything back together until I can get the right ones. I also ran out of time today on making a new extended tongue so it's a rolling tub for now.
