Hi Forum,
Yesterday I sealed the deal on a very clean 4th gen 4runner. Limited trim, v8, 4x4. I'll take a pic this afternoon, I tried to post a link but the dealer already updated the site.
This is the first time we (my wife and I) have bought a car and we are both happy. Happy is not even a good word to describe it but we are overjoyed. First off, we were buying the car for her, she was driving a newer VW tdi but it's unreliability made her lose confidence in the car. The hardest part was getting out of that car, no one seemed to want it. After a couple days of negotiating around town, my favorite Toyota dealer (that I have now purchased 3 cars from) came up $2k from their initial offer on the VW. It took another day to get them to come down to the price that I wanted, but after a good bit of legwork and patience on my part, I finally got the deal I wanted. I wound up only having to pay taxes, 6%, on $2K and that was awesome.
So after owning a 3rd gen for 5+ years (the longest of any car to date), we are back in a 4runner and the both of us couldn't be happier. I just wanted to share my excitement and enjoyment here and I will follow up with what everybody wants, pictures.
