So just a little inside secret for my EP buddies. Keep and eye out on Amazon for the arb fridges. when looking at the fridge looks for any used fridges. Its a little link below the normal price. My buddy got one a few years back for $650. so I kept checking randomly. I wanted the waeco cfx-50 but unfortunately its not sold in the USA and the cfx-65 is not the same thing. They put all the cooling coils on one side so you can use it as a freezer/fridge by letting some of the freezer temps flow over to the fridge side. I just prefer the coils evenly spread out for accurate temps. plus it says the cfx-65 is not nearly efficient in amp as the cfx-50 for some reason. cf-50 is a little outdated compared to arb or cfx models.
Anyways last night I check and ....boom $660 shipped prime. Its brand new unit from amazon but the packing might be damaged. I have purchased lots Of items where it says damaged box but when it arrives it looks perfect. I will be doing some good side by side testing with my Edgestar when it arrives.
I got my Edgestar for $380 shipped back in 2011 and its been an awesome fridge but I just wanted something a little bigger and little more efficient since I leave my fridge on 24/7.
I have the Edgestar for sale in the classifieds, but If I cant get $400 Ill prob just keep it and use it for a freezer when traveling or camping. It will be off otherwise.
