Just signed up for a MIG welding course at the "House of Tools" on Saturday.

It's only 4 hours long but should, hopefully, teach me to lay a better bead. :)

You won't regret it. I did one at the local vo-tech about 7 years ago. Mine was 64 hours for $209:Wow1: We did stick, mig, tig, and OA:) It was some kind of adult continuing ed program. Even if you just learn how to set up/adjust the machine properly, you'll be ahead

The nice thing about classes is that it can fill in gaps, freshen forgotten pools of knowledge, and correct improper use.
That goes for more than just welding. I wish I could fit fabrication and automotive maintenance into my schedule.

Oh, thanks for reminding me the new sched just came out!
