Warn VR10000 Install
A winch is just insurance in my mind. I've gone nearly 20 years without one and see no real reason to invest heavily in one, but...they're nice to have when you really do need them. I wasn't going to skimp and went with Warn.
What a hot mess.
The temp was holding steady right around 27F on Saturday morning. A good friend was in town from Charlotte and had installed his M8000, a few weeks prior, into his Nissan Frontier's ARB bumper. We thought we'd slap this sucker on real quick in the warm garage. The ARB bumper had a different story in mind.
The install was neither warm nor quick.
Four hours later we had the thing on and wired up. I'd say we fought with the winch grade-8 retainer nuts for a solid hour of that time. But, it's on there. And it's super rad.
