When I took off my Campinglab awning last fall, I put it away dirty.
Just the case, not the interior awning.
As it sat in my spare room amongst all the other camping gear waiting patiently for summer to get here, it got moldy and mildewy.
I put the awning on last Saturday to set it up and and do some work on it such as a clothesline and LED lantern hanger.
I asked my neighbor who use to work for Auburn RV (shut down now due to the economy) what they used in the shop, and he said stuff like Tilex for the bathroom.
When I was at Safeway last week, I found some Kaboom Stain Buster there.

I used it today on a rag and soaked the awning case pretty good and let it sit for a bit.
The black spots came off with some scrubbing with an old rag.
After that I used some Aerospace 303 Protectant that is good at preventing UV damage.
I started using that in my rig too last week on the whole interiors plastic, and I like it.
It also keeps dust to a minimum.
Anyway, if your awning case (any brand) looks dingy like mine did, give some stuff like this or Tilex a try, and then put on some of the 303 stuff.
