Few times been in similar situation.

Lots of times people are a bit unreasonable thinking that park rangers or someone else will get their trash, and even put it into trash bags...

Most of the times... animals get there first and end up spreading it around (with winds help)...

Good report. Too bad about the trash, but good on ya for picking it up. I've never been to Burro Schmidt but really want to get out there.

A few of us are heading up that way mid July for a week of camping (a little further north to escape the heat though). It's sad to see such disregard for nature, I guess people just figure the trash "magically" disappears once they leave. Kudo's to you guys for picking up what you could, hopefully people will realize it's not that difficult to take your trash with you.

Other than that, looked like a fun trip!!

Rare People

Thankyou for sharing your trip with us and an even bigger Thankyou for helping keep area,s clean here in Australia campsites get closed because the minority leave their rubish behind. It is refreshing to know others do as I do and help keep these beautiful places clean.

PS Have read most of your adventures and they all inspire me to go out more.
Off to the East coast Of Tasmania 3 hours from were I call home for the Easter Break with My Best Friend Carlo,s and his Family for 4 days.
