Kimberley Kampers USA

I also don't know what you mean by a Series 7? If you could clarify this and what model of Kimberley you are looking at, then I think you could get better more focused feedback to your question.

We love our Karavan. Nothing else gives such a great combination of towability and the ability to fit in a garage combined with the interior living space, quality, and off road capability. The build quality is excellent. We have had ours for 3 years and have had no significant issues with it. Dave (the US rep/importer) is fantastic--extremely knowledgeable, responsive to questions, and a really nice guy. The Kimberly community is small (but growing) and also very supportive and helpful.

The Kruisers are great if you want more space and the bigger form factor. The new Kube looks neat but I have yet to see one in person (Dave said he might have one at Overland East).

My advice is to try and get to see one in person if you can. Dave is based in Ohio, and is at all the Overland Expo shows. Depending on where you guys are and what model you are looking at, good chance you can find a local owner that would be willing to show you their rig.
Thanks for the feedback @cmo5 . Positive endorsement

And I meant the T class

Hey all, I thought I would add to this list. I spent the last 9 months trying to find the right trailer that fit us well for a family of 4, was small enough that it would go well on the tighter trails here in California, be smaller than 20 feet because that makes it a lot easier to find a storage unit, had enough power not to think about it, and astly, had enough floor space that my big ass dog could sleep comfortably. It

So when taking all that in, adding in build quality, the knowledge and clear customer support from David, and most importantly, the comfort that this business will be around in 5 years.... All that and in spite of the price... The karavan was the only and ultimate choice for us.

I don't think it is for everyone and there are lots of options out there, but for us it really fit the need exactly.

We will get it sometime early next year and Ill update after we take it out.

I had started a long thread about finding the right trailer for a family of 4.. Thank you all for your guidance and ideas!

I went with the Karavan EcoSuite. Fitting in a space sub 8 feet high and less than 20' long is awesome. In terms of features, the ecosuite has basically everything. I just added bunk beds, heater for winter camping/hunting,, the extra battery for 10KW, and the carrier. A few small extras but really I cant imagine adding anything else specfic.

I think feeling confident that it will just do everything is a huge plus for us. More time camping and less time on gearing.

I forgot what type of tow vehicle you have but I highly recommend the new 2025 Lexus LX700 hybrid overtrail. It is likely close to the cost of your KK but you would have the coolest trailer tow vehicle set up know too man!

I have an F150. I like the pickup because the kids and dog fit in the main cab and I have extra storage which offsets the Karavan. An Extra refrige/cooler, inflatable kayak, extra BBQ.. Hopefully, and I believe it will, the little stuff all fits in the KK full time and maybe the chiars/table need to be in the pickup.

I was trying to see ways to attach stuff to the shell, but I dont see that many places you can.

Congrats! You chose wisely. I had recommended the Karavan with bunk beds in your other thread. Of course I tried to hook you up with the used one under $60k. Lol! Enjoy!

How do these Australian trailers deal with the cold? what happens when something breaks? do you just take it to local shop and claim the warranty work? can you still get suspension parts here?

I have used my S3 in the 20's with no issues, but it is not a four season camper period. This camper has been totally amazing, and it works so good. The suspension is incredible, works way better than the Tremor I pull it with. As far as warranty repairs, I have done all of my own. David stocks a lot of parts, and is one of the best people I have ever delt with...PERIOD. Its important to understand this trailer is not made in the US, and this does come with some complications. But, after 18 months of ownership, it has been worth every penny.
