If you want to use plastic look at expanded pvc panels. They weigh a lot less and You can get 4’x8’ x1/2” sheets at Home Depot for less than $100

I am not seeing the 4x8 sheets on the website. They are or were in the store though.

Lowe’s has some stuff called AZEK

You still need starboard for fronts but the Pvc will save some weight.
