L300 Delica...Drop some knowledge on me please

I have recently become interested/ obsessed, whatever you want to call it, with the L300 which is eligible for import now. So, anyone have one, know of them? 2.5 liter diesel, basically a Montero is what I have read. Does that mean the same suspensions as the Montero of that same generation? Typical problems?

Nothing like a Montero, they do however share some parts. The 4D56 is a great motor so long as you don't overheat it (including EGT) or run the timing belt until it snaps. L300s are cool rigs though, fun to drive just don't forget your legs are the crumple zone.

I thought that I had read something about the 4wd system being Montero based. Was this not accurate?
