L322 lift

I've been considering the 2.5" lift rod kit sold by Lucky 8 (Proud Rhino Lift Rods). I was inclined to leave the truck stock as I don't look for hard core trails or rock crawling but was recently on a mountain trail in Virginia (Second Mountain Trail west of Harrisonburg) when I encountered a vertical jagged oblique rock ledge about 10-12 inches high. As I was alone, no cell signal, and hadn't seen anyone for a few hours, backed up and eventually found another route. The extra lift would have most likely made a difference but I am concerned about the shift in center of gravity, particularly since I have a roof top tent.

Interested in thoughts and experiences. Many thanks in advance.

Get a GAP tool or Xlifter and just program it in or boost the truck up when you need to. No reason to run a big lift all the time and ruin the driving my experience.

Sorry for the delay...thought I thanked you earlier. Great advice! I've been looking into X-lifter for some time but this this point had gotten by without it. Time to reconsider!
