Friend Clay and I went up to the Northern part of George Washington National Forest for two nights of camping, paddling, hiking, and wheeling. Had a blast!
First night (Saturday) was spent in a swampy mud hole. We didn't pull in until 830pm, it was starting to rain with threats of MUCH rain to come, so we just wanted someplace to pitch the tents before it really came down.
While exploring Sunday we came across a cable bridge straight out of an Indiana Jones movie. There was no way we could pass it up, so across we went!

I didn't get too many pictures from most of our wanderings, but Sunday evening while looking for a spot to stay the night, we found a perfect camp site on the other bank and up Dry River a bit. I checked it out and it had a good solid bottom, so off we went...
Note
ictures are actually from the next morning driving down river, water was higher over the hood when driving against the current.
The camp site...
Monday morning we got up and had a leisurely breakfast before heading back to Richmond to visit a friend for a bit and then head home. I can't wait until it gets cold and snows so I can go back and play in some cold white stuff!
