This is a recent overnighter to Anza Borrego. High winds all night and freezing rain in the morning. But it was a fun trip!

Wow, nice to see you Dave! I'm not aware of any of your pics I've claimed were mine, but if I did it was unintentional. Now I'm gonna have to go back through the thread and look.

So I've spent more time than I care to admit going through this thread over the last few days and in my ongoing attempt to be a contributor to forums again I figured I'd post a few pics (although I know there is at least one of mine Box Rocket took credit for). Might be a bias toward my trucks but I'll be adding a few others...

gotta start off with my favorite pic i've ever taken...

Glad to see you have surfaced. Though we have not met, I feel like so much of my 80 research led me to Ruby Claire. I really enjoyed reading about your trip

I spotted a fleet of non-US LC just outside Washington DC.

Interesting that you found these (not to far off I-95). My brother works there. They specialize in up armoring Cruisers, Hummers, Caddies, Suburbans, etc. for the Diplomatic fleet around the world. I got to do a mini tour when I was home. It was pretty impressive. Got to see an up armored hummer that hit an IED in the field and it was driven out of the kill zone. Lots of cool vehicles with run flat tires, armor, bullet proof glass, snorkels etc. A lot of interesting modifications with commo, satellites, and gps etc as well. All of these vehicles are shipped straight from the factory to VA where they are modified and shipped back out to locations all over the world. Wish I had some of the government money, I'd send my truck there.

Wow, with all of the armored outfits in Germany and such, it's neat to hear about one in the good ol' USA!
Care to share a weblink to the company? I'd like to see more of what they do.
