Bloodycape,
There was NO issue registering in the Socialist Nanny State of Ca. Shocking. At my local DMV(Placerville), I gave them all the stamped and signed import papers from the Port of Entry in Montana, a vehicle inspection form signed by the CHP, a standard DMV form when bringing a vehicle into CA from another State. There is no smog issues as CA only inspects 1998 and newer diesels. I got a 90 day temp registration. With in 7 weeks I received pink, reg, and plates.

Thank you. Now you have me thinking of going 70 series route, specially since they come in 2drs. Do think you can share some interior pics please?

Interior Pics

Bloodyscape,

Here are interior pics. I have not touched the interior yet. I've vacuumed, added above dash gauges.

Looks reasonably roomy for a 2dr. Now you really have me thinking about the Series 70, specially a 2dr variant. Did they come with a rear disk option? Thank you.

I don't think you'll find rear discs. Also bear in mind the rust factor. It is incredibly rare to find a Canadian spec 70 series for sale that is not rusted out. I missed one a couple of years ago that was not too bad. It still bugs me... If you can get a right hand drive unit into Ca, there are tons of JDM models to choose from.

The aussie 75 series had discs on the rear from 1995,similar to an 80 series set up. IMO,after owning both types ,they are no better than a properly maintained rear drum brake and the disc handbrake set up is a PITA to adjust.
