Land Rover Trailer

Looks to be a sankey narrow like mine (no tail gate). I think he's off on age as the sankey wides were being made in the 80's. Neat trailer. Hope he gets the $$$
I have a second tub for mine that I plan to galvanize....eventually

Yes, that's a narrow track. Could be late 60's, 70's or very early 80's but certainly not 90's. Cool trailers, I have one just like it. Makes my old Bantam T3 look like a toy.

They are excellent pieces of kit - very robust, large capacity for its foot print, not too bad a hindrance for general off road use (won't go far on more technical off roading, though). They use LR wheels, so if you punctured all your spare tyres in the middle of nowhere, you could rob the wheels from the trailer. The going rate for narrow track Sankeys in the UK is £150-250, so they're very cheap. I rarely use mine, but it's a good thing to have laying about for those occasions that you can't or don't want to put certain loads into the vehicle itself.

Its a decent price for the trailer here in the states. They are dirt cheap in UK, like most old rovers are, but in high demand across the pond. They are the equivalent to our military M416 trailers over here. The larger M101s can be had for $150 at military auctions as well, but they are much heavier and less desirable.

Someday, I will own a trailer...
