Land Cruisers are pretty highly regarded over there in that part of the world. You'll see a lot of them there, and a lot of Toyotas in general.

I did archaeological fieldwork there from 1994 to 2004, and it's where I first fell in love with 60 Series Cruisers. These tough old trucks are necessary for a lot of the people living there, since the roads are so bad and the conditions are so harsh. The country is crawling in Cruisers, often with all the factory off road goodies.

Each model has a nickname. 60 Series are "Laylas," after an Egyptian actress with a nice large ***, and 80 Series are "Monicas," after Monica Lewinsky (for the same reason).
