Care to give advice on axle placement? Axle is currently 3.5" aft of center of the box. I also have 6.5' of tounge length to play with and hub to hub on montero and cruiser is 106". Current center of hub to tounge is 117".

No direct progress... but...
Spent a few hours tonight changing tires. I removed the goodyear tires from the stock aluminum wheels and put them on the black wheels (removing the BFGoodrich mud tires) then put the two best BFG tires on the black and silver wheels.
Done by hand: 8 tires removed, 7 tires installed (7th is one as a spare for the trailer on the changer)

I'm trying to design the framework of the kitchen galley and to visualize it, I drew this up...
Ran into a problem... I was about to finish welding my spring perches onto the frame... measured again with my wife's help... found that the measurement from the center of the tounge to the center of the forward spring bolts is 3/8" out if equality over ~68"
Should I really worry about this or should I cut out the tacks and reweld or just carry on?

Agreed, Nothing worse than a trailer that wants to pass you.
Got the spring perches corrected and fully welded the suspension.
Haven't had much time here lately... but started welding down the 16g floor. The center of the floor got rosettes to help keep it quiet and held down. Will weld under the center beam to just to help with the noise.
