Last year of solid axle?

TLCs are not my realm of expertise- so I was wondering what year was the last year on the straight/solid axle on the LCs.

What are the things to know when purchasing a used LC? This is going to be/would be a vehicle for my wife.

I'm no expert but I believe the 100 series beginning in 1998 saw the introduction of IFS.

Yes...assuming we are talking about USA availability the last year for the solid front axle was 1997 in the 80-series.
