Foeix, that looks like a great trip!

BWilliams, did you have to detour around those fallen trees or what? Also I don't suppose you have a GPS track for your time on the OBCDR?

I did re-route around those fallen trees. I do have a track.....Garmin. I use a Garmin Montana 650t with the 20k topo maps. There are two other locations I had to re-route around. One, another set of smaller downed trees and the other was logging -- they made such a big pile/mess in the trail that it was impossible to pass or go around. Serious pin striping in a few sections too.

Still chillin on the side of the house, but hopefully changing that soon. The Cruiser should be back to full time duty before too long.

I like and often considered external carry of items on my trailer but decided that on dirt roads and in mud everything gets coated.
In the Military we had to keep it all inside and covered...for obvious reasons...so I never got away from that mentality.

Its true everything does get a coating of mud and grime, my rational to having items on the outside outweigh the benefits to keeping them clean inside the trailer (at least in my head anyway ;P)

Is that a 105? The stance seems too level to be an IFS 100.
Hi Matt,
Yeah it's a Standard 2002 model HZJ 105 series...so for those that don't know, it's a live axle front not IFS and part time 4wd with free wheeling hubs as standard fitment from Toyota. Originally it was a 6 seater (front passenger 3/4 bench seat fitted to allow a 6th person) but i have removed the bench seat and fitted SAAS bucket seats up front and installed a centre console out of a 100 series in there. Being a standard model it's basically poverty pak, so vinyl flooring and vinyl seating (except the front buckets now) and no central locking or power windows, all done manually.

Just got her a few months ago. Finished replacing the shocks with Bilstein 4600's and got Duratrac 285-75-R16's put on today. Plan on keeping her mostly stock for now as this is our first true 4x4 and we've got a lot of learning to do.

Not a Land Cruiser, but a "distant cousin".......The Sequoias don't get a lot of attention, but ours has gone everywhere in sand, rain, dirt, mud, snow and has done it perfectly.....it's my daily driver and desert toyhauler...last pic is in Big Sur.
