Awesome build man! Love the 4Runners.
And wow! 107k on a GS! That makes me smile.
Interesting about your Icon suspension. I wonder if it would have the same characteristics on a Tacoma. Im currently researching suspension.
Let me know if you need any pointers for your DV trip. We make it all around DV 2 to 3 times a week if not more.

I've read that Steele Pass washed out pretty badly this winter, so some closer to March I might ask if you have any updates.
And regarding the Icon suspension. From what I've read they're performing exactly as intended. (Digressive valving). So I bet it would be similar on your Taco.

Hm, that might change my mind about Icon then. Like you stated I don't plan on going 40 or 50 mph consistantly off road.
And NP man. Just let me know. Steele Pass is actually the only route Ive never taken into Saline, but that will give me a reason to check it out.
I can say last July everything going into Saline was pretty rough. I did the South Pass then in a stock 2014 Ford Explorer. With a stock Nissan Rogue following me. Made it half way up Lipponcott and had to turn around because of the Rouge.
Went back a couple weeks ago though and North, South, and Lipponcott had been graded (didn't check Steele). It was the best condition Ive seen it though and we were averaging 50 across the valley. Just shoot me a PM when it gets closer and I'll let you know my latest finding.
