Leaky rear sunroof

My disco is leaking water around the sunroof. Can I just silicone it close and deal with in the summer? The Northwest rain is in full effect.

Yes and no. You can silicone it shut, my brother went this route on his Disco because he didn't care for opening the sunroof and the motor was dead. But when he decided to undo it, well to say the least it was a (expletive of choice) and a half to remove the silicone and he messed up the glass pretty bad. If I was you I'd check the drains that's a common culprit, otherwise replace the seals.

drains, seals or in my case the little tabs in the track snapped off and the glass just sort of sits there.. Id check on the drains and also the place in the corner of the sunroof assembly where the drain tube attaches. That little bit of plastic is gooped into the frame and can wiggle loose over time and cause leaks

For a temporary seal, I'd use some waterproof tape like duct tape over the joints onto the painted panel. You can remove it come spring with the aid of a hair dryer to soften the glue, getting the remnants off with acetone and then wiping that away with a damp cloth.
