Can you post a picture from inside looking out the rear while the box is stowed away? Also can you show a picture of the catch plates? Is it lockable?
Obviously it won't work with a soft top so what's your estimated install / removal time for the seasonal top swap?

I think this is an awesome idea, thanks for sharing and your hard work.

Thanks: glad you like it. Yes it has two vice action twist locks for secure locking, can be removed for soft top swap in under 10 minutes by simply removing the two hinge attach plate bolts.

Here is a pic from the front and of the lock mechanism.

Over the weekend, Mainline Overland in West Chester, PA installed my AT setup. It took almost 30 days to receive everything from AT in Arizona. The tolerances on this setup are exact and a ton of measurements are needed, this is why I had the professionals take care of the install for me. I am impressed with everything and could not be happier........the drawer and combo slide are quality, and nothing rattles around. I still have to install the 5lb. propane bottle and I will also add the AT interior rack.

Aluminum ******!

No: it uses its own brackets/hinges, bolts to the roll bar using a factory bolt near the top of the bend on the JkU. It can comfortably carry 75-100 lbs, really depends on how much weight you want to lift into place. Locks are rated for 150lbs each with a max usable load of 340lbs each. Size is roughly 15x46x4.5" deep. Most people wouldn't dare carry that much weight in it though but it is built for it. Mainly to handle jarring motion from bouncing trails etc.

And made from... aluminum!
Yeah, now that's a winner in my book. Wish more product was made that way.
Will look forward to seeing this released. :victory:

Thanks Scott, very excited about it: it seems to be very well received. I will hopefully have it working in a two door after this weekend.

Disclaimer: I really like the idea and execution of the drawer units the DIY'ers and professionals have produced. I enjoy reading these creative solution threads as much as anything else on this forum. But...

I am often amazed (and disappointed) at the space they take and, more importantly, how inefficient they are considering how little is sometimes stored in them. What would happen if some folks used a container or tote box instead of the drawer(s)? You know what's in them, you know where they're at, you can remove them easier than anything you install in the vehicle and...they're cheap! (and replaceable)

Note: I really like these threads and I'm not saying anything negative (not intending to) about the creative solutions the DIY'ers and professionals have created. I like to MacGyver as much as the next guy and I'm pretty solid with the tools and woodworking so I'm sure I'll be joining you. But still...

Hi All,

On my recent trip to Bald Eagle State Forest I'd finally had it with my lack of organization. After a good deal of research I decided to buy four Front Runner Wolf Packs. My first impressions of the boxes are that they're awesome. They seem well built (the latches being the exception, but I also bought the metal latches), compact, efficient and they are keyed to stack tightly. They have straight sides and handles molded in, so the foot print isn't much larger than its storage capacity.

I also have a Coleman 52 qt. Xtreme cooler and am able to the fit four Wolf Packs in the cargo area with the cooler and the rear seats up. The gear takes up most of the floor space, with a little space in between and of course the area immediately behind the rear seat. When two Wolf Packs are stacked on top of one another, they are almost level with my cooler, creating a platform for the next layer of "soft" gear. I have a Raingler net to keep cargo out of the passenger compartment in the event of an accident.

We have a camping trip coming up soon, so I'll get a chance to use it all, but so far I'm happy.
