I had a aluminum bed rack fabricated up to mount my shadow awning. Mounted everything down tonight. Just needs paint now.

Looks good. Why paint it? If you do paint it, clean and de-grease it and use an etching primer or the paint won’t last long.

My truck is blacked out, so I don't want a big shiny rack out back. Also cost, but on that note I got a quote for $300cdn to get it powdercoated. So I might as well got that route.

took the tahoe up in the snow , got stuck , broke winch line twice , my shovel and the winch controller and made a mess of the road but made it back in one piece .

$300 CDN for powdercoat is cheap I think. (That’s $225 USD for our viewers south of the 49th).

a engo , I did a terrible job of Reese pulling the line back on the last time I used it and then it sat in storage for a year-and-a-half so the winch cables totally my fault
