I wasn't planning on buying a new truck this soon, but the ~9% discount and 1.9% financing made a compelling enough argument to make it happen.

XLT Sport, 3.5TT, FX4, tow mirrors, 360° camera, bed camera, 36ga. tank, bed utility pkg., trailer tow pkg., rear locker w/3.55

Current modification plans are LineX, Decked drawers, and an RSI SmartCap. I have a new '14-'20 Fox 2.5 kit that I plan to make work on this truck, but my understanding is that may require sourcing some softer rate springs. In the mean time, I'll enjoy this soft ride and decent fuel economy.

The tech upgrades in this truck are great and I am looking forward to tweaking a few things via Forscan. I was cross shopping a Lariat Sport High package, painted in Area51, but the additional ~$10k broke into the $70k range (after taxes), which was a mental block for me.

As a '23 model, it has the improvements to the 3.5 (vs. my previous '18, pic at bottom) and the 10R80 has the CDF drum fix, which was implemented in production on August 16th, 2022. My last truck had 82k on it, but this truck feels much tighter, especially the doors.

Tech Tip: Try to avoid buying a 10R80 vehicle with a build date prior to 9/22.

Wow! Some amazing rigs posted on here since I last dropped in. So cool!

Finally sorted out the vibration issues with my 2017 RAM 5500 Hemi 4x4. Installed Justin's custom Centramatic wheel balancers and the Kelderman dual shock steering stabilizer which both made a huge improvement. However, was still having issues with vibration, but was eventually fixed by the local RAM dealership by aligning my steering linkage. Aside from the stiff ride with an empty bed, the truck feels amazing! Took it to a super muddy camping even this weekend and it handled really well.

Added sport seats from a 1500 and a Mile Marker 15000 pound winch. This project has gone way longer than expected but is finally starting to come together right in time for camping season, so I am happy :)
