We are a german couple living near Frankfurt/M., getting to this part of Spain means approx 1000mls of driving. In return, I always envy you guys for the spectacular trails in Utah...

It would not have been top of mind for me to think RAM trucks were readily available in Germany. Then again, I saw a few GMC trucks in Iceland

The 1500 is rather popular, still an uncommon exotic all over Europe, for its size alone. The HD Trucks are extremely rare. However, especially in Spain folks absolutely love our truck, people take U-turns to follow you and ask for selfies. Makes you feel like a celebrity :)
During this years trip, we also visited the Sierra Nevada (which originally is in Spain). There is a road that goes up to 2500m above sea level. All major car manufacturers use it for prototype testing. When we were up there, there was an engineering crew of Mercedes AMG, they brought 5(!) AMG Ones. Those are 3million $ each...
I stopped close to one of the drivers to have a german to german chat, and the first thing he said was "Nice truck you got there". Well, that was my favorite day that week...

I'm not even a Dodge (RAM) guy and I get a kick out of that. Of course Mercedes used to own the company that used to produce that truck, so there's that.

Fascinating. I am in Massachusetts and recall a couple years ago a couple from Europe (possibly Germany?) Who were driving around the country but they were in a tall van possibly a Mercedes.

I barely get west of the Mississippi but the crossing of the Missouri at Chamberlain is an eyeful
