Lets see some full size pictures...

Was this "Fins and Things" trail? Were you able to complete the whole trail and was there significant scraping? I am sure the ram is plenty capable, and it looks like you have the right tire choice for the job, just curious about approach/breakover/departure angles. Always happy to see full size trucks on trails like this!

I ran "Fins and Things", the whole trail... I ran "Hells Revenge" all except for the exit where you drop out off that really steep ledge... Had I put sliders on the truck, I would attempt it. But the risk wasn't worth it to me. I also ran Poison Spider for a while before yet again, I wanted sliders to continue on. Truck did awesome and amazed the heck outta me. I scraped the hitch, front bumper, rear bumper, I kissed the rockers a couple of times but nothing you can see unless you crawl under and look, and I hit the skid plates a couple times but not hard. I'm running a 2.5 leveling kit up front with BFG A/T2 stock size. Wasn't even aired down..

Look up on Facebook or Instagram "Skid plate guy" he makes a full steel custom set of skid plates for these 4th gen 1500s... $500 which is more than fair in my opinion. Just haven't had money to buy them yet.

Here's a couple pictures of the last obstacle I did on Poison Spider before I decided to turn around due to no sliders. Pictures don't even come close to doing it justice... never touched the rockers.

Quite impressive, those trails, while only rated 4 out of 10 on the jeep scale, are not for slouches. Well done! The upgraded tires seem to be an important addition for those trails for added traction but also sidewall strength in the rocks over the stock Goodyears. Airing down would have hurt your ground clearance, so that was probably a good choice in this instance! But the look on the faces of the more capable rigs way into Poison Spider...priceless I am sure.

That's it! Can't wait to get a set of those for my truck... so nice.

Now the bigger question Avis, show us the front winch mount/setup! :D

Winch mount is a Westin 46-23755 MAX Winch Mount Tray.. bought it off Amazon. I have a 12k Superwinch Talon mounted to it and I've recovered several people with, never myself yet :) It was the best way I could to mount a winch without putting a stupid big bumper on the truck. To me, unless the trucks lifted the big winch bumpers just look dumb. I like my 20mpg so no lift for me.

I did not use drawer slides, I used 1" square tubing that rolls on skateboard bearings. 60" drawer slides are around $400 per pair and I have around $100 onto the tubing and bearings. Here is a link to my build thread.

Yeah that's why I was asking. I was looking for drawers slides, but they were all upwards of $300, which is hard to justify for 2 drawers. I've seen the tubing used before, was looking at that option. I checked out your thread, nicely done and nice truck!

Some very nice trucks

It's good to see full size trucks being used. So many of the pictures are taken in the driveway. I have no doubt that they get used but driveway shots really give the wrong idea to folks cruising the thread.
