Plans? Build thread? I'm very interested in a K2X Suburban build.

Nothing major, it’s primarily a road trip family hauler, it’s already been from Oregon to Idaho to Texas and back, and is currently in Nevada. Working flawlessly so far.

In the future it will likely get a leveling kit and slightly larger tires, but nothing extreme because we need to maintain drivability and ingress and egress for SWMBO.

The camping vehicle will likely be a yet to be purchased quad cab pickup.

5.3L. Truck is open diff and 3.42 which is fine, as I plan on regearing and tossing in a rear locker down the road. I didn't want to worry about the G80 in the meantime. I like it so far, floor shifter for 4X4 fun, no chrome, UQ3 audio/display, power locks/windows, remote start, AC, back up cam (for a future GF Camper hopefully) Just the right amount of comfort options without all that silly rear bumper sensor, lane departure etc nonsense that would just drive me nuts.

Getting a 2" level put in and studded 285/60R20 Duratrac tires mounted on the truck today. Good temporary winter tire setup untill I buy some 17" rollers.

Im far from a GM fan, but I must say that you sure picked up a striking truck, you've got my attention! Looking forward to your build, sub'd!!!

Thanks. I already took off the lower part of the valence after that picture was taken. Going to take off that other lower bit this week hopefully. Today I had a small 2" leveling kit installed (BDS), and replaced the stock tires with a set of studded 285/60R20 Duratrac tires.

That looks great with those simple mods!
