Here are some more pictures of the progress of fitting 42" tires on a Dodge 2500 Cummins 4x4... in pictures there are 35" tires on 20" rims. You will notice that I "stitched" the plastic fender wells to pull them back flat against the cut out frame and then coated the stitching with a flexible epoxy. The cut notches in the fender were placed there in order to bend the metal tabs back into the fender well and were welded back together forming a near perfect bend/contour. I have since put on 42" tires and the "little" full size spare no longer is feasible to drive on if I got a flat and a 42" tire wouldn't fit so I pulled the tire out( and tire winch) and placed a 19K winch mounted in its place with a phenomenally over engineered weld to frame plate and trusses. Ill post some of those pictures too. The winch fairlead is covered over with the license plate.

Cool set up! There is a guy on this forum with 40 inch tires on bone stock suspension, he cut then fenders like you did. Ready for hydro assist?

I haven't seen any need for hydro assist whatsoever, but im not opposed to trying it either. Id like to drive someone's 3/4 ton with hydro and feel the difference but thus far... no need. I have added a Carli Suspension high clearance stabilizer I addition to the stock steering stabilizer.

I had a psc assist on my 01 2500, it made a huge difference with large tires. I plan on adding it to my truck sometime soon.

Ha! I like it!
... but gotta play the game.... Making 42's look small since 2014
I would be interested in meeting halfway (somewhere in texas panhandle like Palo Dura Canyon state park) and do some overlanding/camping
