Australian ex-army No. 5 trailer. In the pic it's hooked up to my modified Land Rover 110 Perentie FFR, but it will also be hauled by our newly-acquired JKU.
At the moment the trailer is still in its in-service condition, but we have a pickup bed rack I will install on it as a bolt-on/bolt-off option for mounting awnings and potentially a soft-shell canvas roof top tent. The trailer itself is wired to carry one or more 135Ah battery boxes which power electrical items such as lights and fridge during long drives.
Unfortunately (or fortunately), this particular No. 5 trailer is a little rare so I won't be butchering it by cutting a tailgate into it. At a later date I might track down another one just for the Jeep and mod it a little more.
To tow the trailer with the Jeep will require a rotating NATO pintle hook on a hayman reese 2in x 2in plate, and I have to make up a 12-pin NATO to 7-pin flat plug adapter for the electrics.
